Questions
((To gain the most from these questions, use your Bible. Rather than creative thinking, seek the Word of God for sound truths.))

  1. What keeps people from Heaven?
  2. What do God’s commands do for us? Do they deny us good things? Do they protect us? How does Revelation shed light on this?
  3. Why should we as Christians not envy the choices or lifestyles of people of the world?
  4. What is the problem that we are born into? What is our need? How does God fulfill this for us?
  5. Are you praying for a repentant spirit? How does this benefit you?
  6. In application to chapter 9 you are urged to fight, connect, remember, benefit, and know. Listen to the message and fill in what you are to fight for, connect, remember, benefit from, and know.
  7. How is the “Mighty Angel” described and what does the description remind us of?
  8. What ought to shape the Christian’s identity? Does God’s Word and His description of you shape your identity?

Sermon Notes
  1. In this scripture God has stopped restraining people from their true sinful self.
  2. Repentance is turning from wrong to what God declares is right, not what this world says is right.
  3. As Christians, we need to remember Revelation 9 and what God is trying to steer us away from.
  4. God is immutable (He never changes), He always keeps His promises. As Christians, knowing this is comforting and we know the things of Revelation and the Rapture are coming.
  5. Our God is amazing, we must recognize this and ask Him for help in our lives.

“May the peace of God be with you always.
Our Holy Father in Heaven You have given us a new identity as free men, no longer in bondage to sin.
By Your grace grant to us repentance that we might fully benefit from Your grace in these later days.
We thank You and pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

~ Amen ~

What if God wasn’t immutable, and if God decided, we won’t have salvation or God could decide not to let us be raptured. Thank you God for being immutable.
